Beer is very popular in the Czech Republic with the most popular brand being Pilsner Urquel. I also reccomend you try a dark Kozel beer. Some other Czech brands are Krusovice, Bernard, Staropramen, Budweiser, Budvar, and Velvet.
Czech red wines are typically full-bodied and tannic, while white wines are characterized by their crisp acidity and fruit-forward flavors. Medovina or honey wine is a delicious must try. Don't miss out on svařák (mulled wine) in winter and Burčák (young wine) in the fall.
Slivovice or plum brandy is worth a try. Becherovka is an herbal liquor with a secret recipe and supposed medicinal properties (try at your own risk it is pretty strong). Absinth didn't originate in Czechia but is very popular for tourists in Prague.
Kofola is a soda similar to Coca Cola, Malinovka or carbonated raspberry lemonade is popular among children. Tuzemák is a sweet, non-alcoholic herbal liquor made from herbs and spices, often used as a base for cocktails.

A cross between a cafe and a pub, this spot is a unique find tucked away behind a water mill. Filled with locals, and a nice selection of Czech beer, wines, and appetizers. There is an outdoor patio and you can even take drinks to go into Kampa park just outside.
Nice spot for a beer in the park with an excellent view of the city. Good place for a break in the daytime or evening. Beware it is cash only and requires a little bit up an uphill walk to get there.
